New Year’s resolution to get fit? Why not enter the Fleet half marathon?

The Fleet Half Marathon takes place on 22nd March 2015. Although still a couple of months away, entries are filling up fast so if your New Year’s resolution was to get fit then why not enter?

In its 34th year, the long established Fleet Half Marathon is open to over 2,500 runners and features a traffic-free course which is gently undulating. The route is well marshalled and benefits from professional medical support. Designed to be completed in under 3 hours, the course offers an ideal build-up to the London Marathon or a fantastic achievement in itself.

If a half marathon might be too much in just a few months there are plenty of other options for runs and walks of shorter distance in our local area, which are still an achievement to be proud of. The Bolt Around the Holt in Farnham on 28th March offers an off road, traffic-free trail for all with routes of 5k and 10k, as well as a half marathon. The 6 mile Hook Fun Run & Road Race takes place on 17th May or the Basingstoke Half Marathon takes place on 4th October – giving you a few more months to prepare.

If running isn’t your thing then Hampshire and Surrey offer many other fantastic sports facilities including the Arena Leisure Centre in Camberley, the Connaught Leisure Centre in Aldershot and football, rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis, ice hockey, volleyball and even gliding clubs around the region.

If you are looking to move to Fleet or surrounding areas then why not check out our properties currently for sale, as well as some comments from happy customers who have sold their property through Check 4 Houses.
