Bronze medal best estate agent Hampshire, Berkshire and IOW

Bronze medal! Best estate agent in Berkshire, Hampshire & the IOW

We are delighted to have received a bronze award for single office estate agent sales across the whole of Berkshire, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight in the Best Estate Agent Guide.

These awards put us in the top 5% of estate agents in the country. They are based on real data about how long we take to sell properties, prices achieved etc. We were also mystery shopped, to experience first-hand the service we deliver.

At Check 4 Houses we have always been passionate about providing a professional and reliable service during what can be a stressful process. We are delighted to have been recognised in these awards which reward the hard work we put in.

Personal service from start to finish

Of course, the most important feedback is from the actual people that we help move. As Ms Parker from Mytchett says:

“I placed my property on the market end of June and less than three months later have exchanged due largely to the efforts of Paul and his team.

At the outset, Paul was extremely realistic in his valuation, explaining how time-wasting it was to overvalue, only to then have to reduce further down the line.

Throughout the process either Paul or Julie were always instantly available and upon reaching the final stages when we were having considerable communication problems with the buyer’s solicitor, Paul come in to his own, continually chasing and not letting go until all was resolved.

Paul is a straight-talking agent and for commission of 0.5%, no sale, no fee, Check 4 Houses was well worth the money. I would therefore have no hesitation in I recommending the very efficient Check 4 Houses.”

From our Check 4 Houses Hampshire head office we sell properties in Fleet, Farnborough, AldershotBasingstokeCamberleyYateleyFarnham and beyond. We can sell your home from just £599 or 0.5% +VAT – saving you thousands in agency fees. Please give us a call on 01252 819725 or contact us and we would be delighted to give you a free, no obligation valuation of your property.

Easter eggs and Happy easter message on dark background

Egg-citing local events to keep you entertained this Easter

With Easter being slightly later this year, there is even more reason to get out and about in Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire and celebrate the joys of Spring.

Egg hunts for everyone

There are plenty of outdoor egg hunts available at key National Trust sites across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey including The Vyne in Basingstoke, Basildon Park near Reading and Winkworth Arboretum near Godalming.  Easter is also lambing season and you might be lucky enough to see some being born if you head to farms such as Lockey Farm in Arborfield or Manydown Farm in Basingstoke.

In Fleet you can join the annual Ancells Farm Easter Egg Trail on Good Friday with plenty to keep children entertained.  Activities include the trail itself, Easter bonnet and colouring competitions as well as an Easter raffle.  There is also an Easter trail on Yateley Common on Easter Monday where you can follow the trail around the woodlands and heathlands, collect all the clues to tell the Ranger and receive an Easter Surprise.

Indoor activities to keep the kids entertained

If the weather isn’t so kind, head along to The Mall in Camberley which has free events running for two weeks from April 3rd to 15th.  Activities include an egg hunt around The Mall for the chance to win a chocolate egg. as well as arts and crafts, animals, magic, storytelling and a Punch and Judy show at the Kids Camp in The Square.  The Broad Street Mall in Reading are offering fun filled workshops, face-painting, an Egg trail, and the chance to win a family trip to Legoland as part of their egg-citing entertainment from April 10th – April 15th.  You could even check our your local garden centre.  Some are offering Easter activities including egg hunts, seed planting workshops and more.

Spring is traditionally one of the busiest times on the property market so if you feel you are ready to make your next move then please give us a call on 01252 819725 or email us at info@check4houses.co.uk.  We would be happy to give you a free, no obligation valuation of your home.  Our local team has all the knowledge of a traditional high street agent, but at the cost of an online agent.  We can sell your property from as little as £599 or 0.5% + VAT. This could save you thousands when compared to standard agency fees, giving you more to spend on your new home.

Financial and business charts showing growth

Reading set to be the fastest growing city in the UK

According to the latest EY UK region and city economic forecast, Reading is expected to be the fastest growing city in the UK over the next three years. The Berkshire city will deliver a GVA of 2.5%, outperforming the overall UK GVA of 1.5% during the same period.

The South East as a whole is forecast to grow faster than the rest of the UK, delivering  average growth of 1.9%.

Reading growth led by digital

Reading tops the growth league tables for GVA and employment, with average annual rises of 2.5% and 0.9% until 2019. As the UK’s fastest growing sector, digital accounts for 25% of Reading’s GVA.  This figure is much higher than in many other UK cities. The strength in digital, along with growth in key sectors such as ‘professional, scientific and technical’ contributes to Reading’s strong performance.

The outlook for other parts of the UK is more challenging. Slowest regional growth levels are expected in the North East, Scotland and Wales. These areas rely on different employment sectors such as accommodation, oil mining or the public sector. These industries have already suffered job losses or are expected to come under threat over the next three years.

Mark Gregory, EY’s chief economist commented: “This is our first region and city forecast since the EU referendum, but Brexit isn’t the only factor at play in these economic downgrades…. The changing UK landscape means that it is even more important to continue to monitor economic developments at the region and city levels and to include the potential implications of emerging economic, industrial and trade policy for all parts of the UK.”

Here at Check 4 Houses we are not surprised by these results. They underpin the continued strength of the South East region, despite the challenges of Brexit. Our local property markets of Reading, Fleet, Basingstoke and other major towns all remain strong due to an ongoing lack of supply. This means your property might be worth more than you think.
